A photo of the Upanishad verses engraved on the Wall Of Library in Poland has gone viral on social media.  The late Vedic Sanskrit texts of Hindu philosophy were inscribed on the wall of the library of Warsaw University, Poland.  The picture was posted by the Indian Embassy in Poland on Twitter. “What a pleasant sight!! This is a wall of Warsaw University’s library with Upanishads engraved on it. Upanishads are late vedic Sanskrit texts of Hindu philosophy which form the foundations of Hinduism,” the post is captioned.

Indians feels proud and very happy that world started recognizing Hindu Philosophy

The photo of the library of Warsaw University has gone viral on social media, making desi netizens feel proud. One user said, “Great, proud and very happy to note. Whole world started recognizing Hindu Philosophy whereas we Indians forgetting our great culture. Something has to be done to create interest particularly among young ones.” Another wrote, “Bahar ke desho main Bhartiya sanskriti/ upnishado ka dil khol ke swagat kiya jaa raha.”

Would any university in India dare to do this?

A third user commented, “When the world is embracing #Hinduism, we in #India are attracted towards Western world.” Someone asked, “Exquisite… Would any university in India dare to do this?” Yet another posted, “Adbhut hai bhartiya sanskriti ko kis prakar log apna rahe, ye uska sidha sadha udahran hai.”  Upanishads are the oldest scriptures of Hinduism and deal with meditation, philosophy and ontological knowledge.

The Sanskrit term Upaniṣad translates to “sitting down near”, referring to the student sitting down near the teacher while receiving spiritual knowledge. The Upanishads are also referred to as Vedānta which has been interpreted as the “last chapters, parts of the Veda.”
