Haryana BJP spokesperson and Karni Sena president Suraj Pal Amu on Sunday called upon a maha panchayat in Gurgaon’s Pataudi to ‘make history’ and ‘not become history’, so that ‘no Taimur, Aurangzeb, Babur won’t be born.
If India is our mother, then we are the father of Pakistan- Suraj Pal Amu
“If India is our mother, then we are the father of Pakistan, and we will not give houses here on rent to the Pakistanis…Remove them from this country, pass this proposal,” he said. The maha panchayat was called to discuss religious conversion and a law to control the population. “During 1947, the country was divided, we saw the bodies of 10 lakh people…there is no tally of those bodies till today. And we are giving them houses and shops, and it has been found in Pataudi their parks have started being built. Uproot the stone of the park,” he said.
Suraj Pal Amu was addressed the maha panchayat
When asked about Amu’s remarks, a top BJP leader from Haryana said, “These were his personal comments. The party has nothing to do with it.”
Suraj Pal Amu was appointed Haryana BJP spokesperson in 2013, then served as chief media coordinator between 2014 and 2019. In June, he was again appointed spokesperson of BJP in Haryana. Amu has created controversy earlier as well, particularly in 2017, when he announced a reward of Rs 10 crore for anyone who could behead actor Deepika Padukone and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the run-up to the release of their movie ‘Padmaavat.’
Taimur, Aurangzeb, Babur won’t be born
Speaking at maha panchayat Amu said, “I was remembering Suraj Singh from Ujjina, who did not allow a masjid to be built inside his village.”
Targeting actor Saif Ali Khan, Amu said, “They say there is love of conversion here in Pataudi. Those who gave birth to Taimur are also from Pataudi…while we know how to give respect, we want to request Taimur’s mother also that enough is enough. People of Pataudi, you can make a difference…stop welcoming them.”
