The nationwide fund drive for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been started today. President Ram Nath Kovind made the first dedicated donation of Rs 5 lakh to the fund. The treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi shrine, Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Alok Kumar met President Ram Nath Kovind at 11 am today.
Officials of several adjuvant organizations including Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirthakshetra Nyas and Vishwa Hindu Parishad went to meet the President today, The Treasurer of the trust, Govind Giri Ji, The Chairman of Building Construction Committee Nripendra Mishra, VHP Executive Chairman Alok Kumar, Delhi’s Province President of the RSS, Kulbhushan Ahuja met the President.
Apart from this, a diamond trader from Ahemdabad Govindbhai Dhodhakia has donated Rs 11 crore for the construction of the Ram temple, as per the sources he has been associated with the RSS for a long time and has made a big contribution towards the construction of the temple.
Another big donation from Rae Bareli for the construction of the Ram temple today will be donated by Surendra Singh who will donate one crore rupees fund for temple construction as quoted by the sources.
The nationwide fundraising campaign for the Ram temple has started today, in which more than 12 crore families will be contacted in more than five lakh villages and donations will be sought from them, the campaign to raise funds will be conducted till February 27. As part of the campaign, Vishwa Hindu Parishad will accept donations and support from the people for the construction of the much-awaited temple.
